I just went to charlotte to veiw a health ed class and i foudn out that they are taking health and pe out of 10th class requierments, i think that this is not right, these two subjects if taught right and so benafical to the studetns, they are having to do this because of all of the other requierments that the state has for them to do. i just didn't think this was fair

There are benefits to not making them requirements, and I"m sure that the state has went over them all. I honestly think they are a huge part of high school and they should be taken. But maybe the state has something else in store.... do you knwo what they are replacing it with?

I was talking to a few teachers about it, and the reason they are cutting 10th grade health and P.E. is becuase they have so many other requirements already that if a student fails it doesn't give them room to make up the crouse, they are not putting anything in it's place.

high school is such a busy time for students. there are so many required classes each semester that students don't get to take the classes that they would rather take. but, at my high school, we had health and pe in 9th grade and then you could take "team sports" any other semester. explain to me the 10th grade pe, or is it the same as what i had?
