I know that people have different opinions about this subject and I have stated mine so I don't need to state it again. Here's the deal... all of these issues are out there, we are learning each and everyday how to see them, acknowledge them, and try our best to understand them. Thats what these types of classes are for, to try and get us ready for those issues that are more than likely going to come and and probably more than once. We are now at least prepared to do something about the issues when they come to us, whether or not we all agree on one way to deal with it is not the issue, but that we all have experience with different opinions. I guess what I'm getting at is just the obvious. All of our discussions are the point of this class, and those different points of views that come out in those discussions will go with us through teaching and possibly and hopefully help us when those issues do arrive. I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed all of our discussions and debates, and I hope that you all got as much out of it as I have this semester.
:D

I too have found the discussions valuable; the class setting allows for an array of views, and the medium in which to share them. The act of engaging in such discussion not only provides valuable insights but also the ability to think critically from a variety of perspectives; this in and of itself is a valuable "tool."

I am truly with the others on this topic. I have gained different perspectives on different viewpoints through taking this class. I mean with being a certification student it is truly hard to return to school after beingout and being older than your classmates. But, I must truly say that it has been a pleasure hearing and seeing hte different viewpoints of a younger generation being expressed in a classroom like ours. Thanks! for this opportunity. Good luck with everyone's adventurous life of becoming a teacher.
