What I have read from all of you I get the feeling that we do not know much about the topic. In a nut shell I think that affirmative action came about to off set racism in our society. This has help minorities, people from low income background, and females to attend college, and by doing this affirmative action is putting people in society where they would not have probably been able to go. It has open doors for many minorities that may have been other wise closed to them. What I do know is that it started in the 1960's and many people think that it is there to help get minorities into places in unfair ways. What do you know about it? Right or wrong I am listening or should I say reading (smile).
