Census figures confirm that more young professionals, 25 to 39, leave the area than move into the Triad area. It is no secret that Winston-Salem is not a hotbed for young professionals. Young, single, college-educated people are moving out of the Triad faster than they move into the Triad according to U.S. Census Bureau data. The report showed that young people are moving to large cities even though the general population is not. Such areas as Washington, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Charlotte had high influxes of single, college graduates age 25 to 39. It's nice to know that not all of our young people are going to jail or some form of institutionalization when they suddenly drop from circulation.......
