Dr. Turner had asked me to get some talk going about a phone tree for bad weather. I would love to have one of these in place. I don't have time to look at my e-mails at school. Also, sometimes the server is down and my e-mail at school is not available. I would love to know before driving to Hickory that class has been called off. Last semester our professor had us in teams with team captains who were only responsible for calling 3-4 people. I would not mind being a captain. I really don't like getting phone calls at school but if it saves me a trip to Hickory its worth it! Let's see if anyone else is interested. Just reply to this message.

A phone tree sounds like a good idea to me also. I really liked it last winter. I didn't have to worry whether or not we were having class and didn't have to rely on my e-mail.

I am interested too, if everyone wants to email me your numbers or give them to me at class, I don't mind getting it together or helping.....my server is pretty reliable and I don't mind getting calls at school, we have voice mail if I can't get it.

The phone tree is a great idea. I really like Shannon's idea about having captains. I'd be glad to help in any way. Maybe we can get it organzied the next time we meet.

I guess we really do need a phone tree with all the computer viruses. I still the orginal Weather Tree list Dr. Pacifici/Schram gave during Spring 2003. We could update the list.
