In class we discussed how Cedric was confronted by the professor that had to tell him he prbably would not make it into MIT. Cedric said that he felt like the professor had no idea where he had come from and how hard he had worked and what he had to go through. I tried to think about it and I have never really been in that situation to that degree of seriousness. I have felt like that with professors who just assign one more thing, or my parents who get on me about not doing something on time. But have any of you actaully been in a situation similiar to Cedric's?

I don't think anyone has ever told me that I couldn't do something.I'm not sure how I would respond if someone did,it'd probably catch me by surprise.Cedric heard this stuff all the time. The fact that he heard all the time about how he couldn't succeed and kept his head up is admirable.
