So does anyone else think that something is wrong with America if the first thing you see on a news website or on TV is celebrity information and not actual important news story? I know stories like this sell and that taking a lighter side to the news is seen as better but I think that people are going a bit far with these stories. It is crazy to me that these stories are the ones that everyone actually pays attention to. I was wondering what everyone else thought? Do you think that news stations should change the way they run stories?

I agree; it's interesting sometimes to listen to the BBC news on NPR at night. They cover a great deal more than most typical American news broadcasts, and they often focus on other countries more.

Apparently this is what everyone wants to see. If ratings are high, I don't see anything changing in the news.
