In one of my other classes we had a speaker come into class to talk about where she was from. While sitting there she discussed the school system and a whole lot about the culture in the country. It was very interesting to hear about the different things because it was completely different from the United States. One example was when she discussed the value from education. I know that school is necessary to get ahead, but she showed us how education got her out of the dirt hut that she lived in as a child, to living in a good home in the United States.
