The snow is coming down here in Asheville. Are we still having class tonight? Are roads clear in Morganton?

Hi Mannie;

It's snowing here, too, but so far WPCC is still open, though Burke County is releasing kids at 1 PM today.

My daughter is getting out at 1 PM, too, so I guess I'll go get her, come back home and see what's up at that point. My babysitter is still ready to go for this evening, and I'd love to see you all and teach class tonight. I wouldn't put it past them to close the site, though, so let's all stay tuned.

Do you feel you would be safe on the roads? For my part, I know I'd be fine as long as I allow plenty of time for the drive.

Thanks for the quick reply. I imagine the interstate will be okay, and it's basically an interstate drive from here to Morganton. I'll check in later to see what's up.

Here in Rutherfordton, the schools closed at 12:00. My school is out in the boonies, and the roads are covered. We have to take back roads to get to 40, but I have no idea how they are. If anything changes, please email us because I don't think many of us check the forum.
