Taddling is one of my biggest pet peves in the classroom. I have seen many different strategies that are supposed to put an end to taddling but haven't found one that I think is good enough to stop any child from taddling. There is always the strategies of telling them your are sorry or I don't want to hear it and seding them back to their desk or center or wherever they came from. Then I have also heard one where if a student comes to taddle you tell them that if it is important enough for the teacher to know then they should write it in the taddle book. For younger grades this can work because it takes them a long time to write so usually they give up and just go sit down. I am just not satisfied with any of the taddling strategies I have seen. Any ideas?
